CBE is a neutral and independent
business-to-business Marketplace (cbe-onlinexchange.com) in the
after market of the ICT Industry. The CBE Marketplace is a closed
user group and access is restricted to customers whose main activity
is the buying and selling of used ICT equipment.
The CBE Marketplace provides
the ability for Customers to post offers and/or requests, search
and view (ICT) equipment. Additionally the customer can negotiate
through the CBE Marketplace, review negotiation history and send
listings to a specific 'self created' Focus group.
CBE Privacy Statement
CBE handles both its customers
and web-site visitors information with the utmost respect, care
and confidentiality. CBE takes every precaution to protect customers
and visitors information both online and offline.
All Information collected
by CBE is stored as securely as possible and is available only to
authorised CBE staff. The CBE staff is notified and reminded about
the importance of privacy, and what they can do to ensure that our
visitors' and customers' information is protected.
CBE accepts no responsibility
for the privacy policies of any web site(s) customers and/or visitors
can access through CBE.
What Information
does CBE collect?
As a visitor or customer
enters the Site(s), CBE's server(s) automatically log(s) domain
names and IP addresses, browser versions, pages visited on the site(s)
and the URL visited when leaving the Site(s). This information will
be used for monitoring Site performance, Site traffic and, -utilization
of features and services in order to administer the Site(s) and
to ensure the efficient operation of the Site(s).
CBE also uses IP addresses
to analyze trends, and gather broad non-personally identifiable
information for aggregate use. CBE may not sell and/or share personally
identifiable (demographic and market trend)
information to/with customers or partners. IP addresses are not
linked to personally identifiable information.
The Site(s) will store information
in a small text file on your hard disk, called a "Cookie". This
"Cookie" is activated to customise the Site(s) to a chosen format
and is offered for the visitor's or customer's own benefit. The
"Cookie" will store the chosen format onto the visitor's or customer's
hard drive so that he or she does not need to re-enter this information
on subsequent visits.
In order to provide its services,
CBE collects personally identifiable and demographic information
provided by its visitors and customers when completing any of the
contact CBE forms, registration forms (agreements) to the CBE Marketplace
and/or services, surveys and negotiation and transaction details.
This personally identifiable data includes main, billing and shipping
addresses, chamber of commerce registration, federal ID number,
name(s), Authorized User details, titles, phone, mobile and fax
numbers, e-mail and web site(s) addresses. For operational and performance
purposes information may be required of browser versions, dial-up
connection and operating systems. Demographic information consists
of business type, industry, business function, main product lines
specialism and manufacturer brands.
Each negotiation and/or transaction
a customer is engaged in on the cbe-onlinexchange.com web site requires
that the aforementioned personally identifiable and demographic
information must be shared with other persons involved in the negotiation
and/or transaction process through the CBE Marketplace.
This process includes all
services related to preparing and completing a transaction through
the CBE Marketplace, such order processing, financial services and
logistic services.
The bid history of all negotiations
done through the CBE Marketplace is stored on the cbe-onlinexchange.com
web-site. This information is only visible to persons that have
been engaged in that particular negotiation.
For the purpose of operating
and trading on the cbe-onlinexchange.com web-site or usage of the
CBE's Services, CBE may request the customer financial information
such as V.A.T. number, credit card data, bankers name and address
and bank account number(s).
CBE may use its visitors'
and customers' names and (e-mail) addresses for direct marketing
purposes, such as site updates, notifications,
newsletters or general information regarding transactions.
Transfer of Information
outside EU
For CBE's customers in the
European Union, please note that CBE may, in the future, establish
affiliates in the US or in other countries outside of the European
Union, which may have less adequate data protection legislation.
These affiliates may have access to personally identifiable information
acquired by CBE according to this privacy statement. As the United
States or some of the countries in which CBE's affiliates are located
may not have the same high level of data protection legislation
as the European Union, CBE will conclude agreements with its affiliates
in such countries to ensure the same level of protection.
Sharing Information
CBE will partner with third
parties to provide specific services. In case a customer signs up
for these services, CBE will share the personally identifiable information
that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.
These parties are not allowed to use such information except for
the purpose of providing these services.

links to other (associated) web sites. Please be aware that CBE
is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.
CBE encourages its visitors
and customers to be aware when they leave the CBE Site(s) and to
read the privacy statement of other Web site(s).
Security
The servers on which CBE
stores personally identifiable information are kept in a secure
environment. Physical, network and server security procedures and
protocols are put in place. Transaction security is guaranteed through
the industrial standard protocol - SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) -
that makes use of public key encryption technology. All personally
identifiable information is minimally 56bit encrypted on the cbe-onlinexchange.com
web site.
All passwords provided to
CBE's customers are confidential and will not be available to anyone
outside CBE for any reason. Please note that CBE will give access
to anyone providing us with the right user password and that CBE
can not be held liable for any damages caused by the unauthorised
use thereof by third parties.
Only the CBE staff that need
personally identifiable information to perform a specific job is
granted access to such information.
Correction/Updating
Personal Information
If a customer's Authorised
User changes, or if a customer no longer desires to access the CBE
Marketplace and/or make use of CBE's Services, such customer may
contact CBE with a request to correct, update and/or remove its
personally identifiable information.
Newsletter/
Marketing and Sales Information
On regular basis CBE may
send newsletters and/or promotional information.
Any visitor or customer wishing
to be excluded from any sort of mailing should notify CBE at customerservice@cbe-international.com.
Notification of Changes to Privacy
Statement
In case of any changes in
the privacy policy, CBE will post those changes so visitors and
customers are always aware of what personally identifiable information
CBE collects, how CBE uses it and under what circumstances, if any,
CBE discloses it. If at any point CBE decides to use personally
identifiable information for a different purpose than indicated
at the time of collection, CBE will notify its customers in writing.
A customer will have the possibility to opt out of such personally
identifiable information.
